Fine line illustration has always played a big part in Vics history as an artist. In between projects and commissions, Vic will often begin an artwork to practise and experiment with new ideas. Fine pen work frees Vic to meticulously plan a piece of art and multi layer it with intricate detailing. These pieces are unplanned and freestyled, allowing the work to evolve and adapt as the piece takes shape.
His Super 8 series is an ongoing project, started 10 years ago. Feng Shui has been important for Vic in his practise and as a way to see in the new year, vic will hand ink a number 8, seen as the most auspicious number in Asian philosophy, featuring the following years animal from the Chinese zodiac. A way to introduce the New Year with thanks for the previous one.
