McLaren Racing
Hand-painted body artwork created for McLaren Racing's launch into the world of Extreme E.
McLaren Racing we’re entering the world of Extreme E racing. For the launch, a special edition Extreme E car was hand painted by Vic at the McLaren headquarters in Woking, taking the four biomes of the off road race as inspiration. Desert, Arctic, Ocean and Amazon.
The car was covered in a papaya vinyl and completely hand painted by Vic over four days. The car was presented at the COP26 conference on climate change to the now King Charles on its launch.
“We had the idea that we wanted to create a hand drawn, one-off car livery to announce that we were entering the Extreme E race series. Vic completely understood what we were trying to achieve and started to think about how to apply his ideas onto the (really quite large) car. The ideas were then drawn straight onto our car and the results were as creative, individual and inspiring as it’s possible to get.”
